Teaera Strum to speak on 11th Economic Forum for Offshore Wind panel

Strum Contracting is headed to Germany! Our CEO Teaera Strum has been invited to speak at the 11th Economic Forum for Offshore Wind, located on the island Heligoland in front of the German coast from September 7-8, 2022.

The development of offshore wind energy in Germany and Europe creates a lot of chances and challenges for the industry. The Economic Forum provides an unique frame enabling the industry to meet once a year to discuss actual challenges, define short and midterm tasks and goals, encourage networking among the market participants, optimize and accelerate processes, and set new impulses for the boundary conditions.

“Strum Contracting is excited to participate in the 11th Economic Forum Offshore Wind in Heligoland, Germany. As an emerging market, the US is welcoming the Offshore Wind Industry, by passing recent bills such as the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA), which invests $369 billion towards renewable and or clean energy sources. As a game changer for the Offshore Wind Industry, bill such as the IRA help large and small businesses across America get opportunity ready to enter into or expand their services to include the offshore wind industry while accelerate the overall industry development, specifically the supply chain by providing 27 billion in financing designed to help green energy related activities. While the US federal government is collectively working with the states and various stakeholder groups throughout America, to ensure small, minority, women owned businesses and underserved populations are included from the beginning of this emerging industry. The Economic Forum Offshore Wind will allow small businesses such as Strum Contracting to provide a voice on how the US and countries such as Germany can achieve their 30 GW by 2030 targets.”, states Strum

Strum will be joining to speak on a panel about how the United States of America and Germany can cooperate to achieve offshore wind targets in both countries.
