Offshore wind is coming to Maryland, bringing new jobs and generating new economic opportunities for people of color. Teaera Strum is Chief Executive Officer at Strum Contracting, a welding and fabrication business in Baltimore City, working on offshore wind projects.
Thanks to investment opportunities provided by U.S. offshore wind, Strum Contracting Co. in Maryland was able to increase the company’s physical space and expand its civil construction fabrication and manufacturing small business.
Governor Larry Hogan today welcomed the nationwide Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses Voices “Road to Recovery” series to Maryland, joining local small business owners for a roundtable discussion on the challenges they face to recover from the COVID-19 pandemic.
